Matt oversees operational activities of the company. Prior to being appointed to his current role, Matt had served as Chief Risk Office since 2016 and previously as head of SCOR Global Life’s Longevity Solutions unit in the Americas. He was the driving force behind the company’s expansion into longevity in both the United States and Canada. His team led SCOR’s efforts providing reinsurance to Sun Life on the Bell Canada Pension Plan, the first longevity insurance pension risk transfer transaction executed in Canada.
Before joining
SCOR Global Life (formerly Transamerica Reinsurance), Matt spent 14 years at
TIAA-CREF performing a variety of roles including leading Corporate Financial,
Planning & Analysis, Business Line CFO for the Pension Products and
Individual Wealth Management Products divisions and head of Actuarial and
Finance for the Investment Products division.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in actuarial
science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and his master’s degree in
business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy
of Actuaries and a CFA charter holder.
